The Reality Parents Show is broadcast from 9,000 feet above sea level, in the Colorado mountains, and hosted by the husband & wife duo of Kevin & Teri Miller, married for 14 years and parents to five extraordinary kids.
They've been through a lot in their marriage and parenting. Immense highs and devastating lows. The "list" about makes Teri's head spin: a just-couldn't-wait, passionate & rocky pre-wedding elopement; three brain surgeries with a first-born infant son; successful entrepreneurial businesses & failed entrepreneurial businesses; the ongoing fight of helping a child live with epilepsy; natural home birth & c-section hospital birth; financial crisis & miraculous provision; middle-of-the-night ER visits; kidney stones & emergency appendectomy & the relief of a benign lipoma; a disintegrating marriage & the work to put it back together; huge business debts & the nearness of having it paid off; and of course the overwhelming day-to-day stress of everything (and themselves) unraveling. But today they find themselves more in love than ever, with a crazy-fun houseful of kids they adore, and a lifestyle that seems too good to be true (still nuts and often on the verge of insanity, but overall stellar).
The "Reality Parents" show originates from a desire to discuss what limits families from the joy and fulfillment that should be theirs. With plenty of real-life stories along the way, the show focuses on parenting with a backbone, and includes some irreverent finger-pointing at our society's current parenting trends and 'wisdom.'
A Bit About The Hosts
Kevin Miller is a 36 year old guy who lives up in the Rocky Mountains with his family of seven and thrives on the passions of life (yeah, when I'm not changing butts, nagging at kids to do chores, or trying to make enough cash to keep the lights on). As co-host of the RealityParents.com show, he shares (ok...rants a good bit) about the journey and helpful solutions of parenting (at least that's the intent). His past includes a long history as an elite cyclist (meaning I slaved away as an endurance junkie for little to no pay but a ton of fun) and entrepreneur (meaning...about the same thing as the athlete thing). Today he works from home where his limited work time is devoted to his writing, business endeavors and personal clients as a 'Branding & Positioning Consultant,' primarily working with Authors & Life Coaches' (If you want a list of business acumen, visit my personal coaching page). But you're more likely to find him rolling around on the trampoline with his five kids, out on a long trail run, or in deep discussions about life with his wife Teri or 'the guys' at a small town restaurant.

Kevin's Passion List - Teri, laughing kids, red wine/hard cheese/gourmet olives & bread (that's a complete set), home roasted coffee, great movies, music, long & remote Rocky Mountain trail runs, the woods, snowstorms, the written word and striving to understand and live out the truths revealed by a powerful but still misunderstood Jewish carpenter.
Teri Miller is a 37 year old girl who also, coincidentally, lives up in the Rocky Mountains with her fine-lookin' husband and five extraordinary children, that she claims more credit for, since she was the one to suffer through pregnancy and childbirth (the last one, born right at home, though I'm not sure I'll do that again). She co-hosts the RealityParents.com show where she gets to share her life as a mom & wife, and laugh (or cry) about the challenges...and give some insight on guidance that gives more joy to both. Her background includes dancing with a professional ballet company, a degree in Singing/Acting/Dancing that was earned while on-stage performing at places like Galveston Island Outdoor Musical Theater and Opryland. You may have even seen her dancing in a couple of music videos back in the mid 90s. Today she spends a lot of the day home schooling her three oldest kids (I love having them home, would rather hire a tutor to do the work!), working on plans for a barn-house she and Kevin are building on some dream property, singing & working with the creative worship team at the local church, taking or teaching dance class, going on long walk/runs with Kevin, cooking & cleaning enough for a small army, and cuddling with the two cutest baby boys ever.
Teri's Passion List - Kevin, kids who love each other well, sunshine, a toddler's belly-laugh, sleeping late in the morning, the sweetness & warmth of a baby's head nestled close, laughing & crying with true friends, great music, singing, dancing, and experiencing the love of her true Father in Heaven.
